When I was a senior in high school, I had my senior pictures done by the studio my school contracted with and that was it. I woke up the morning of my session and did my own makeup and hair while a nervous wreck the entire time, showed up at my time slot, was ushered through basic set up after basic set up and then sent home. That was it.  I felt like just another number. My senior pics looked like everyone else’s and what I thought would be a special part of my senior year wasn’t special at all. 

When I decided to become a senior photographer, I knew I wanted to offer my seniors something else… A special senior portrait experience unlike any other out there. I didn’t want my seniors to have to worry about doing their own makeup and hair, or question all of their outfit choices. And that’s why I created the AHP senior experience that revolves around the ideas of no stress, no rushing, and no second guessing.

1. Unmatched Pre-Session Prep: Worried about what to wear for your session? How about makeup and hair styling ideas? We got you covered! Long before your session, we send you detailed resources about how to best prepare for your session with us including: a what to wear guide, face & hair prep tips, our fave shops to curate your outfits, nail prep tips, and so much more!
2. We Won’t Rush Your Session: Most studios only offer 60-90 minutes sessions. Not us! We are just getting started at 90 minutes! Most of our sessions last two and a half hours to ensure we document every unique aspect of your personality and to allow for a variety of looks!
3. Professional Makeup & Hair Styling: AHP’s makeup artists and hairstylists use only the best HD camera ready products on your face and hair to make you look your best for your portraits! Worried about looking cakey? NO WAY! Our makeup artists only use professional airbrush foundation which is the lightest, yet best coverage you can get in the industry. Our artists also come with us on session to give you multiple looks to match your outfits and give tons of variety to your session images!
4. Natural Posing: I don’t ever want you to look like you’re trying too hard. I’ll help you step by step to execute the perfect look by helping you look natural in your images. I’ll guide you into specific poses designed to make you look effortless and like yourself. I want you to be able to look back on these images for years to come without wondering “What the heck was I thinking with that pose?!?”
5. Organic Editing Process: We pride ourselves on a clean editing process that won’t strip away what makes you look like YOU. We also won’t apply crazy filters that make it look like we edited your portraits with an Instagram filter. We believe in editing that highlights beautiful light and colors while maintaining your skin tone and texture. We’re so well known for our editing process in our industry, that photographers actually take classes from us on how to achieve our signature editing style.
